Title of Abstract:

 

 

Ageas have recently invested heavily in a big data platform to support significantly large volumes of real time quote data which has been previously unavailable to our business. Ageas are currently exploring multiple advanced analytics use cases around fraud risk, pricing optimization and anomaly detection and feedback, to contribute to improving our overall commercial performance.

 

It is with this in mind that we will be running multiple initiatives over the next 12 months to start gaining significant insight in these areas.

 

Proposed start date in 2018 (approximate and/or flexible): 

Approx. June 2018

Skills and experience the student will obtain during placement:

 

  • Insurance industry knowledge,

  • Commercial pricing experience,

  • Agile project (SCRUM) participation,

  • Exposure to a variety of toolsets within the enterprise data hub (Spark, Kafka, Flume, SAS, Python (Jupyter)).
